I sit here today with no power in northern bc wondering how the rest of the world is doing while we are all sitting in the dark after last nights wild storm.
We ended up having a wild wind storm in last 24 hrs witch knocked out power knocked out thousands of people’s power out in northern Vancouver Island and Vancouver it self we are here with trees down , roofs tore off , shingles and windows beat out , and trees down , flash floods , we have massive amounts of water builds on riversides causing road damage and highway closures.
We have never seen a hurricane like weather I mean we are in a topical rain forest area where the weather and humidity is different and can produce it’s own unique climate that can affect our weather conditions in it’s own ways.
We have had many times already had wind advisory and rain storms since September 2024 and this by far has been the worst one so far in port hardy bc of where Iam and my friends and family are safe I will say we are cold no heat no power right now but that’s ok ,cover up stay warm
I always tell people to always be prepared when things like this happen because you never know when emergencies are gonna happen highly suggest investing in a electric generator that you can get it’s solar powered or plug in ac you can pre charge it last up to 48 hrs for when power goes out you have a generator that you can you indoors you can get at my shop
